I took a quick look at the listing of special features on the 4 seasons of Enterprise on The Digital Bits website and didn't see one on the Production Design of the NX-01.

I only saw this on at Memory-alpha:
I've seen the text commentary on Regeneration Episode #049 by the Okudas that mention the computer displays.

Is there a featurette that deals with the production design/art direction of the NX-01 somewhat and how it was designed as pre- NCC-1701 technology?
Which season has it so I can get it form Netflix?

Interesting one. John Eaves did both designs for Defiant and Enterprise NX-01, as far as I'm aware. Herman Zimmerman the interior set design.

If anything, I imagine there should be something on Season 1 Disc 7. Why they decided on the 22nd Century and it's look. Behind the scenes shots of the set being assembled there as I recall.

This is actually the kind of thing Rod Roddenberry's new "treasure trove of material" project will likely be covering. I can only speculate, since nobody seems willing to impart any info about it.

Zimmerman was clearly talking about the interior set design, including the similarities of the Defiant and NX-01 bridges, not the exteriors of the ships.

Eaves did some NX-01 concepts, but the final NX-01 design came from Doug Drexler.

    Rod Roddenberry project

I do not know anything about this project. Could you point me to a link or two? Title of the project for me to do some Google searching or memory-alpha?

    EDIT:
    found it I think:

his much-anticipated Star Trek Documentary, “Trek Nation”.

I was more interested in the interior production design though.

Bother. I should've known that. What with the small clue, "Drexler", bottom right of my current wallpaper and all...

Minus one point, both in my fandom and IQ level.

    It may be on this:
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (Special Collector’s Edition) (2003)
    The Star Trek Universe featurettes
“Herman Zimmerman: A Tribute” 19 minutes
I haven't seen it and since is on a feature film disc I don't know if it goes into much detail of Enterprise interior designs. I put it on my Netflix Que. Has anyone seen it and can mention how much about ENT is deals with?
