That doesn't mean there are "attack or evasive patterns" named after them. Not if they are calling them out themselves. All that indicates is that Riker spent time programing in some patterns so that he could use them at a later date.
The Kirk one, on the other hand, is more likely to be based upon his tactics and/or accomplishments.
Think of it this way: when calling out a holodeck program, they usually used a filename that had their name in it. Does that mean that they're recognized galaxy-wide for it, or that they saved it under their directory?
Perhaps, if I am very lucky, the feeble efforts of my lifetime will someday be noticed and maybe, in some small way, they will be acknowledged as the greatest works of genius ever created by man. ~Jack Handey
