Absolutely agreed.
The Long Halloween is little more than Jeph Loeb simply discovering his favorite storytelling method (a murder mystery that includes appearances from just about every member of the hero's rogues' gallery), with some good ideas -- like the war on the mob -- enveloped by writing that is largely shit.
Dark Victory is just
awful.
