It's the 24th Century, so why not?

Obviously a 75 year old man can have a child with a roughly 56 year old woman whenever they want without any outside help (at least no medical intervention was mentioned in your book), so why shouldn't it be possibly that the human genom has evolved enough for a very premature child to survive in the future?
