Screen Used Tribbles Up for Auction (TrekCore Fundraiser)

(Note: I've received a waiver to post this with links from T'Bonz, forwarded via Spaceman Spiff. ;) )

As part of TrekCore.com's annual fund raising efforts, we've partnered with Hollywood photographer Michael Grecco - whose photographed the DS9 cast - and a big part of our partnership is the auctioning off via e-Bay of six (6) screen used tribbles from DS9's "Trial and Tribble-ations" that he obtained on set when taking cast photo (+tribbles) for Entertainment Weekly.

With any of the tribbles, you get a print of said photo signed by the photographer (which you can also buy directly as part of the fund raiser here along with some other photos Michael took of the cast), and the tribbles have also been certified authentic by Propworx, Inc. (who are currently handling the nuBSG prop auctions) and whose CEO runs the blog http://startrekauction.blogspot.com/.

So, there you go: get yourself a screen used Tribble and help TrekCore.com at the same time. :techman:

A TrekCore collegue just showed me this; apparently the only two tribbles ever auctioned off prior to this went for $4800 at Christie's!

That's pretty sweet. I used to have one of those toy tribbles that purred and all when I was little but I accidentally purred it to death.

These seem much better. If only I weren't unemployed...

*Sigh* if only I had that kind of money.

Where are all those rich Christie's Trekkies today, I wonder? LOL

Any Madoff victims? Hehe

I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe they stashed away some extra quatloos in their cargo holds for a rainy day? ;)

I have a couple of the talking tribbles from a couple of years ago, and I remember making my own as a kid from the instructions in Gerrold's book on the making of Tribbles lol... :D

I'm not even going to ask what electronic device you put inside the tribbles to make them vibrate around on their own...

We've already got a Tribble (our dog's name). She'd probably eat the prop version.
