Nimoy 'Raw Nerve' Preview
<font color=yellow>Leonard Nimoy</font> will be making an appearance Tuesday, January 6th, on <font color=yellow>William Shatner's</font> <i>Raw Nerve</i> talk show.<p>As reported by <A class="link" HREF="">The Shatner Project</A>, Nimoy shares a story on tonight's <i>Raw Nerve</i> that he has never told anyone before. "He came out with a story he has never told anyone," said Shatner. "It was just there, lurking in some dusty corner of his mind. I sort of tickled it out of him...He was amazed he remembered, what it was he remembered. Fascinating story."<p>The preview of the Nimoy <i>Raw Nerve</i> interview included Nimoy's recollection of how his parents felt about him becoming an actor. "My parents were not the kind that were terribly encouraging," he said. "They did not want me to go off and be an actor," he said. "Their concept of what they wanted their children to take advantage of was a very American kind go to high school, you get good grades, get into a good college, get good grades, become either a doctor, lawyer, or engineer, scientist...a dentist, a pharmacist, something where you can hang out a shingle and say...and make a you have a secure life."<p>His father had some advice for the wannabe actor. "When I told my dad I want to be an actor," said Nimoy, "he said, 'You're going to be hanging around with gypsies and vagabonds.' And then he said to me, 'learn to play the accordion.' And he was serious. 'You can always make a living with an accordion.'"<p>On <i>Raw Nerve</i>, Nimoy's successes and lack of success as an actor and how he fought off the demons will be explored. <p>For those who are hoping to see footage of the show online, Shatner had this to say; "These conversations I have with people go on for an hour, hour and a half in some cases, and that extra footage may be, sometime later...Amy will let me use it. At the moment, it's part of 'Raw Nerve' and owned by 'Raw Nerve.'<p><center><object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object></center><center></center>

Would really like to have seen this - too bad the news article was posted the day after the episode aired!

Saw this last night. Great interview. Nothing that I think anybody would really call earth shattering or anything, but, I'm not sure anybody but Shatner could get some of this out of him.

Virtually nothing Trek related in this interview, other than a few passing mentions for reference of time. Was nice to hear them talk about other things.

The friendship and chemistry between these two comes out yet again. Would love to see the stuff that didn't make it on the air.

I really enjoy Raw Nerve. The show is somewhat a throwback of Tom Snyder, where two just sit around, have a conversation, and tell entertaining stories. Haven't seen the Nimoy interview yet.

Re: Nimoy 'Raw Nerve' Preview
I saw parts of this interview last night and really enjoyed it. I like them talking about diverse topics and not ALL about Trek, although there were times it was mentioned. :) I can't get over how much weight Nimoy has lost! WOW, he looks amazing! Anyway, I really commend Shatner for having this show cause it's not like any talk show I've ever seen before. :) It's the one thing of Shatner's that I do take the time to sit down and watch.

Don't get the biography channel. Does anyone know of a place where you can watch the show online?
