Quick question - how is Happy Days a fittin' entry? Sure, it launched stuff (Mork & Mindy, Laverne & Shirley & Joannie Loves Chachi), but wasn't it an original production?

^I wondered the same thing. Apparently, Happy Days started life as an episode of Love, American Style with a slightly different cast.

Garry Marshall could not sell his idea for a sitcom about a group of teenagers in the fifties so he sold the pilot script to Aaron Spelling.
