Meaney In British Football Film
 
<font color=yellow>Colm Meaney</font> to play opposite <font color=yellow>Michael Sheen</font> in <i>The Damned United</i>.<p>As reported by <A class="link" HREF="http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/">icwales.icnetwork.co.uk</A>, Meaney will play <font color=yellow>Don Revie</font>, former Leeds United football manager. Sheen will play <font color=yellow>Brian Clough</font>. Revie and Clough were bitter rivals.<p><i>The Damned United</i>, set in 1974, will tell the story of Clough's forty-four day tenure as the manager of Leeds United. Clough had previously been a critic of Revie (Colm Meaney), who preceded him, and Leeds United. Clough was fired after alienating many of Leeds United's star players.<p>Meaney spoke recently about his <i>Star Trek</i> days are reported by <A class="link" HREF="http://www.redorbit.com">redorbit.com</A>. "I was never actually a fan of Star Trek and, you know, science fiction would not have been my favourite genre," he said. "I never really developed an interest in it. Don't get me wrong, we had a great crew and a great cast and I had a great time doing the show."<p>According to Meaney, <i>Star Trek: Deep Space Nine</i> was a quality show. "We did twenty-six episodes a year for seven years and there were maybe three or four duds in a year which wasn't bad," he said.
