"The Sound of Her Voice" Line-by-Line

Hello, Welcome!

We recently completed our "You are Cordially Invited" Line-by-Line here in the DS9 forum!

After each completed thread, we're randomly picking someone who participated to choose the next episode we do. The lucky winner this time around was leandar And leandar has chosen "The Sound of Her Voice" as our next Line-by-Line challenge!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes, each episode is a separate thread.

As before, at the conclusion of this thread, I or CoveTom, BlueStuff, Enterprise1981 or leandar, will run the randomizer to determine who will pick the next episode and get it going.

And now, the Defiant is on escort duty, lets see what's happening back at the station.

In Quarks, there are new bar stools, without back support or armrests.

Odo: All right, these bar stools will have to be removed.

Quark: Do you know how much they cost?

Odo: No, and I can't say I'm interested in learning, Station regulation 2562, paragraph 4. All furniture intended for us on the Promenade must not pose a danger to public safety.

QUARK: What danger?

Re: "The Sound of Her Voice" Line-by-Line

ODO: Without a back on the stool, Morn could tumble from his perch at any moment, shattering his upper vertebrae or puncturing three or four of his lungs.

(Morn stands but Quark pushes him back onto the stool)

Quark: Nonsense! His body weight is perfectly distributed across the seat. (jiggles Morn around to demonstrate)He's also better able to enjoy the view of the lovely dabo girls than he was before. (spins Morn around to see the Dabo girls) And should he require another drink he need only spin back.(spins Morn back around to the bar)

ODO: Which points out another danger. Vertigo.

Re: "The Sound of Her Voice" Line-by-Line

QUARK: This isn't going to give anybody vertigo.

(Quark sets Morn spinning on his stool.)

Odo: Your appeal has been heard and rejected. I want the bar stools removed by the end of the day. Now, it's come to my attention that your dabo wheel is in violation of station regulation 47-21, which states-
