The Final Frontier: The Surprising Musical Origins of STAR TREK

My brother in law sent this to me just now and I had to share. A nice music history lesson, to be sure. What do you guys think?

This is a nice companion thread to another recent thread in the forum: where did the music come from?

Neat. How many of us have a Starfleet uniform on now right under your coat?

Interesting.

I remember hearing a Chicago song once, and the intro sounded really familiar. I finally figured out the same notes were in the soundtrack for TMP! I'm sure it was inadvertent, this seems to happen a lot.

Fun edutainment piece.

I kept wondering why the host had an awkward looking dress shirt on, until he pulled it away at the end.

I first saw this a week or two ago, but I only just noticed that they credit "Jonathan Fakes" as the trombone player. Nice touch. :)
