Writer Morgan Gendel talks "Inner Light" & "Starship Mine"

Hi all,

We recently spoke to TNG and DS9 writer Morgan Gendel on his contributions to Star Trek. Thought this may be of interest to fans of "The Inner Light":

Part 1 (mostly Inner Light) - http://trekcore.com/blog/2013/05/exc...gendel-part-i/

Part 2 (Starship Mine and his DS9 episodes) - http://trekcore.com/blog/2013/05/exc...endel-part-ii/

Like Starship Mine, hate The Inner Light with a passion.

Here's hoping someone from either party gets in touch with one another to take part in the special features. I'm a huge sucker for commentaries and I'd love to hear his thoughts on his two episodes.

Starship Mine was the first episode of Trek I ever saw, the rest is history.

Two of the better episodes in the series.

"We don't do sequels bla bla". Sure. How I hate this double tongue talk.
How many times did they do exactly that, with Lore, Moriarty, Hugh...? I could go on and on.

The Inner Light just never worked for me. I thought the pace of it plodding and the story uninteresting.

It's forty-five minutes of me watching Picard watch a movie.
