I liked the development, though I did think he was a bit of a douche in this - I certainly saw his character grow through out. He still seemed to be that arrogant asshole from the first one in the first part of the movie.

I hope Kirk in the third chapter is the one we know.

be kinda cool having it end with Shatner reciting the opening speech from the original series and have the Enterprise-D go to warp.
