Good bye Richard Briers

A great actor and part of my youth with the 'good life' which I caught the first time. He added sparkle to everything he was in including an episode of Doctor Who. He is sadly missed

Really a shame. I mainly knew him through his supporting roles in Kenneth Branagh's Shakespeare films (I believe he's the only actor to have had roles in all five). Looks like he had a really tremendous career.

Branagh's Henry V is my all-time favourite movie, and he had an important part in it, though his role in Hamlet is probably his biggest in those films.

Sad to hear it. There are too many great tv moments featuring him to name them all. Suffice it to say that he was incapable of giving anything but a wonderful performance. RIP.

To me, he'll always be Tom on "Good Neighbors," and Reg from "Norman Conquests."

Such a delightful presence on-screen. He will be missed. :(

:(

What a marvellous actor. His dramatic parts in Branagh's movies were always enjoyable, but he was effortlessly, ridiculously funny in so many other roles. They're the ones I remember and enjoy best.

Here's to The Good Life, Mr Briers. RIP.

Sad news.
Both The Good life and 'Ever decreasing circles' are being shown on one of the satellite channels at the moment.'The Good life' in particular was huge in the seventies,Richard Briers seemed such a likeable affable man.

On a related note, has anyone seen the updated 'Yes Prime minister'?
Dire.
