Titan and The Fall news
During the latest T&G show episode James Swallow revealed that he will write the next Titan novel, which will be part of the The Fall series. ETA: Just to clarify: James Swallow was in the chatroom during the show, not a guest on the podcast.
(Link, the relevant parts starts about the 67 minutes mark IIRC; BTW I think Nick confused Dayton's upcoming TOS novel with his entry in the The Fall series during that discussion) So it seems there's only one slot left open with DRG III , Dayton Ward, David Mack and now James Swallow attached to it and it being a five book series. Maybe Kirsten Beyer's next Voyager book? |
Re: Titan and The Fall news
YES! I loved Synthesis, so I am very happy indeed to see him coming back for more Titan.

Re: Titan and The Fall news
IIRC, Kirsten said her next Voyager book wasn't likely to materialize until 2014. And the Voyager fleet seem pretty removed from Alpha Quadrant politics, so I can't see them being involved in "The Fall" (of the Typhon Pact. If I'm right.)

Re: Titan and The Fall news
Not to mention that the Voyager novels are still only up to the fall of 2381, and the main Alpha-Quadrant 24th-century continuity is up to 2384.

Re: Titan and The Fall news
If (and I grant that this is an 'if') each book is a specific series, like the original 4 Typhon Pact books, we know there is DS9 and Titan, and TNG and Aventine seem the obvious two other choices, what could the other book be?
Another TNG or DS9 book? A crossover? A New Frontier book? |
Re: Titan and The Fall news
That's good news. :)

Re: Titan and The Fall news
Wonderful news indeed. Dear TPTB, please keep James doing Titan.

Re: Titan and The Fall news
Great news! :D

Re: Titan and The Fall news
I am relieved that Michael Martin is not writing the Titan novel.
I would like KRAD to write the final book. But he seems finished with Treklit for now. So I would say Una McCormack. |
Re: Titan and The Fall news
Still haven't stared Titan, but I'm very much in the market for an exploration-focused series, so I'm happy you're all happy with that author choice.
