A Beautiful Vulcan in the Captain's Chair (Pinup Illustration)

I've been creating pinup art for a few years now, so it was only a matter of time before I did one featuring that sexy, if impractical, female uniform from the Original Series.

When deciding on a model for my pinup, I considered Janice Rand (Grace Lee Whitney) and Uhura (Nichelle Nichols). In the end, I decided I wanted a Vulcan. Since we didn't meet any other Starfleet Vulcans, much less female ones, in the original series, I created my own.

This entire scene was created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The background looks rendered, but it was all created from scratch. I admit I did use a Sketchup bridge model to aide in the layout.

I also created a timelapse film showing most of the creation of the illustration. That can be found here:

Damn, I was hoping someone had finally found those rumored pics of Kim Cattrall on the set of Undiscovered Country.

I'll respect your opinion, even if I don't agree with it.

Sex in the City era Kim Cattrall, I'm not a fan. But early 1980s through mid nineties? I'm on board.

Ya- it's all subjective to personal taste. I actually find the face of this Vulcan to be too nun-ish. But a nun with a rockin' bod!

P.S. Sorry if I came across as somewhat of a douche just there...
