Fringe 5x02 - "In Absentia" (Live Commentary, Spoilers)

After Walter's mind is damaged by Windmark's telepathic probe, the Team goes to Walter's old Harvard lab to find the information they need to defeat the Observers.

Thus, far, it appears that TPTB are keeping their promise to keep things fast-paced, with no filler eps. Should be cool to revisit the lab, as we begin to find out what happened after September's warning to Walter (seen in the S4 finale).

Hey Gang, I may not be onhand for the commentary tonight, due to some scheduling conflicts and a repair on my wife's car. I HOPE to make it, but you never know.

If not, I'll chime in later after checking the DVR.

I'll be here this week (although not next week). I'm annoyed that so many things are on at 9 that I like. Fringe, UFC, and America's Most Wanted.

Hey, Proc! Hope you can make it!

I'm here, with a cold bottle of Shipyard in hand!

;)

Wife's Ion has been retrieved, we're in and settled, and watching last week's ep once again.

Egg-sticks... Yeeech!

Glyph translator is here!

I may not be here to chat during the ep next week. Will be away and where there is a TV, no internet; and where there is internet, the TV has a problem tuning in the FOX station. Will see if it's been fixed, otherwise will post the glyph translation afterwards.

But I'm here and ready for tonight.

Yes. Last year I found a spot but there was no outlet, so I just made it through the ep before my laptop battery died.

I had a real tough time when we were in Boothbay getting a viable signal, unless I was in the Common Room of the B&B. Technology can be so unreliable at times.

Looks like we're going to open every ep with this particular flashback.

I'm half-expecting him to start calling for his son Boromir!

It's a shame that Olivia and Etta are mother and daughter because it'd be pretty hot if they made out.

Etta's delivery is a lot like Olivia, I wonder if that's done intentionally or not.

Hopefully, there won't be a bonfire closeby :)

That was a cool TV spot for 'Cloud Atlas', even though I have no idea what it's about.

Or a cliff-like drop-off!
