Re: September Art Challenge - Klaus
Brilliant! I know if I had a time-travel capable fleet I'd definitely send a mission to view the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. I love it!
But is it just me, or are those the exact same figures inthe exact same poses as your entry last month...? --Alex |

Re: September Art Challenge - Klaus
Weird. The picture didn't show up yesterday and I tried reloading and revisiting several times. I was starting to wonder if the smiley on the bottom of your OP was it.
It's awesome :bolian: |
Re: September Art Challenge - Klaus
It's not an asteroid; it's a space freighter filled with cybernetic soldiers and a teenaged boy unable to pilot the craft. ;)

Re: September Art Challenge - Klaus
lol...
Here's the 2nd draft. I replaced the crew and decided that they were unrealistically close to the rock -- and also that such a pic wasn't complete w/o a T. Rex roaring defiance at the unfairness of it all. I may redo the meteor yet again, but I like the rest better. http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/2222/sep12post2.jpg |
Re: September Art Challenge - Klaus
^I'm unsure about how the T-Rex is standing on the edge of that rock jutting above the water. It looks like he might be trying to keep his balance as the asteroid is blazing through the sky.
Also, is the team physically interacting with the time period? They would be still close to the blast. Really, I think it doesn't matter how close they are to the asteroid trailing in the sky. Either way, they are fucked unless they are out of phase, or had their craft programmed to travel back to their time just before the blast arrives at their location. My point is both are good. I don't care how close those guys are :) |
Re: September Art Challenge - Klaus
Yes, they're programmed to snap back right after it hits... The bit of time-energy field still around it is meant to imply a standby mode. :D
And that was the flattest terrain I had handy, I agree it needs to be adjusted lol. |
