Well, it's not April 1rst so I'm going to take a chance and believe this wonderful, wonderful news. I will be first in line to get those disks be they DVD or Blu-Ray! Finally saner minds have prevailed!

Please, please PLEASE let this mean that a DVD/Blu Ray release is possible. PLEASE. I haven't bought much recently, but this, I would totally get.

Hopefully this does mean a DVD set will be coming, presumably from WB. And hopefully it will be comprehensive. The show's been rerunning on cable for quite a while now, and I got to catch up with most of it that way last year, but they left off a few episodes, specifically the Egghead and Shame 2-parters which both featured rather stereotypical "Indian chief" characters, presumably for fear that that would be offensive. But they were products of their time, and I don't think the Indian stereotypes were any worse than, say, the Middle Eastern stereotypes in the King Tut episodes which they did rerun, or just the general exaggerations of all sorts of character types throughout the show.

Kitt had the sexiest purr, Meriwether was great at writhing and caterwauling, but Newmar was the quintessential Catwoman.

As much as I would love to have the series on DVD, the article only mentions that the likeness/image of the actors can now be used by WB. If they could really release the series, wouldn't the article have mentioned it?
