Seven Deadly Sins Discuss/ Grade

I haven't gotten it yet, but apparently Seven Deadly Sins has started popping up in stores. So I thought I'd go ahead and star the review thread.
I'm hoping to get my hands on it sometime in the next few days, but I'm having medical issues that make it hard for me to move so I'm probably going to have to wait till I can get my mom to pick it up for me.

I tired to set up a poll, but it gave me an error. Can I still add it? Sorry this is my first time I tried to do a poll.

Picked up my copy on Thursday. Noticed it does indeed carry the Gallery Books "G" insignia, not Gertrude the kangaroo of Pocket Books fame.

My copy came in to my Kindle on Tuesday. Finished the Romulan, Ferengi, and Cardassian stories, in the middle of the Klingons.

I'm looking forward to reading the other stories on Wednesday, during a long flight.

I managed to get myself out of the house long enough to pick up a copy of SDS today. One I finish Sorrows of Empire, and the first Mere Anarchy novella, I'll start it.

It may be a while before I get round to reading the other stories - I've been mired in nonfiction books about the Hundred Years War for research on a historical novel... Actually I haven't even read all the stories in The Sky's The Limit yet!

I was editing the MB pages realted to the book, and I was just wondering, what series would you categorize The Slow Knife as, TNG or DS9?

After the restructure that resulted in Margaret Clark being let go, Simon & Schuster reorganized all their imprint divisions. Pocket Books has reverted to MMPBs only (ie. the origin of the "pocket" book that could be slipped into a pocket) and ST trade paperback collections are now published under the Gallery Books imprint. But all still published by Simon & Schuster.

Here's a news report from the time it was announced.

I've yet to finish the entire book, but I have completed the first story, "The First Peer." If the rest of the shorts are of the same quality, then I'm eager to read them--might try and finish the set this weekend. Very crisp, fluid language and an excellent plot. I'd always wondered what the circumstances were for the Romulans and Klingons to be exchanging technology; "Peer" explains it all in a very entertaining fashion. There's also a pretty cool Vanguard reference in the book, but I'm not gonna spoil it for anyone.]

I'd definitely have bought the set just for "First Peer."

I just got mine a couple of days ago. I haven't started it yet (and probably won't get to it for a while yet), but I was flipping through the historian's notes. The Borg story, Revenant, says that it is set "in early 2380 after the fall of the Romulan Star Empire (Star Trek Nemesis) and concurrent with the Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) encountering the former Starship Einstein (Star Trek: The Next Generation--Greater Than the Sum)."

Greater Than the Sum takes place in the months before Destiny (which is in February of 2381). Early 2380 would be before even the events of Resistance. Guess I'll have to wait to read it to see which of the references is accurate (assuming you can even figure it out).

The Enterprise's encounters with the Einstein in Greater Than the Sum occur in November 2380. I haven't gotten 7DS yet, but I'd imagine if the note for "Revenant" puts it concurrent with the Einstein encounter, there's probably an in-story reference to those events.
