Had to pick up my daughter from a friend's house and while I waited their cat decided I was it's new friend.

Never sure how to feel about that.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it's the least serious option, and it gets cleared up soon. Best wishes.

I have mixed feelings about my country now, my country gave Israel points, both from the jury as the televoters. But Mustii's little rebellion, the broadcast's little rebellion and Brussels comic com support for Joost shows not everyone shares that opinion. But the wokers hate Switzerland's win because reasons. In case everyone is curious about what I'm talking about, btw the text reads this is an union action. we condemn the human rights violations committed by the State of Israel. Moreover, the State of Israel destroys freedom of the press. therefore pause the image for a moment.

I think my general malaise is down to a decided lack of hedonism. Or I'm just a little gassy. Could be both.

It's a good thing, unless you really hate cats. Cats are very good picking out the on person in a group who hates cats and deciding that that person will be their best friend, whether they want to be or not.
But on the good side, animals are good judges of people, so if like you that should be seen as a good thing.

I just watched one of the darkest and most disturbing old cartoons I've ever seen. It followed a little homeless girl in NYC on New Year's Eve, and starts with her being ignored and knocked around by all the adults. She finds a place to sit out of the way and keep lighting matches and they keep getting blown out, until she appears to die and go to heaven, but her heaven gets blown away by a bilzzard and it turns out she was just asleep and didn't die. But then she does die and an angel comes a takes her away heaven for real.
That was not the lighthearted, silly cartoon I was expecting.

I mean I don't hate them but it was strange.

I remember that one. Very heavy and hard to really digest, if a call to do more.

Can't say I've ever seen that one. Do you know what studio released it and what year?

I think it was released by Columbia. It was part of MeTV+'s Sunday Night Cartoons earlier this evening.

So glad to be home. I love my Mom but spending 3 and half hours driving each way, and spending two nights away from home--and Junior -- gets very tiring. But l love seeing her. She is an avid gardener but at 91, can't do much. We took her out to the big garden stores, she picked out her plants, and we planted them in pots or in her yard, per her instructions. We also did some small tasks around the house, like hubby fixing a light switch and I filled all her bird feeders, and psycho oldest sister took us all out for a fancy dinner -- and she didn't flip out for a change, which was awesome.

Got Lasik. Now instead of sitting in front of the computer wearing glasses, I sit in front of the computer wearing glasses. Basically traded near-sightedness for far-sightedness. But damn, far-sightedness without contact lenses is great.

So you think it's worth it? I've often wondered about getting it for my near-sightedness, even though I now wear progressive lenses. My prescription went up just enough this year that I had trouble finding frames that would handle it.

I suppose it all depends on what you like to do. There's something nice about waking up and not having to immediately deal with any glasses or contacts. If you're an eye-rubber, that's a habit that will be really hard to break because they don't want you screwing up the eye flaps they cut open to perform the lasik. They give you goggles to sleep in, but I've been taking mine off in my sleep!

Now I have to take reading glasses out with me if I want to look at my phone. There's always trade-off, and results will be different for everyone.

There was an option where they could set your eyes so that far-sightedness isn't perfect in order for you to keep near-sightedness, but eventually you'd have to go back to corrective lenses sooner than later.

My brother and dad are both very happy that they did it. My dad does have reading glasses, but he finds that a minor nuisance compared to if he lost his glasses he could not do anything.
