So you must never have seen Justified, which his is hands down Goggins' best work. He was only meant to be in the pilot episode, but the audience reaction was so strong that they changed the ending and he became one of the major stars of the series, arguably damn near as important and popular as Tim Olyphant playing the lead. Justified remains my all-time favorite television show- #1 on the list. And there are some strong contenders on that list.
Episode 6 Spoiler Theres a very blink and you miss it picture of NCR President Kimball from New Vegas on the alter in vault 4
I watched the finale this afternoon and it did a really nice job of answering the questions and left us with an interesting set up for the second season. Spoiler: The Beginning I had already started to suspect that Vault-Tec dropped the bomb themselves, but the whole thing with keeping all of the higher ups in suspended animation to run some of the vaults was a surprise. Hank being one of them and all of the stuff with Shady Sands and Rose was completely unexpected. I'm assuming since Muldaver isn't a Ghoul that she must have had a cryo pod similar to Bud's Buds. I'm curious if the end of his arc means we'll be seeing Maximus work to take down the Brotherhood, possibly with Muldaver.
When Goggins' character was doing the photoshoot for Vault-tec, he asks one of the Vault-tec employees if the blue suit is radiation proof, getting a "yea... sure...." response. I think he will put on the suit in a high radiation situation and it will be the reason he turns to a ghoul.
I did a video review in my "The Guy in the Corgi Shirt" persona with a fellow post-apocalypse author in Erik Malikyte.
I figure the show will at some point show him turning to expand his character from the time of the bomb until present time. Finished the show yesterday and this is how you adapt something. Respect for the source material, identifying the elements people love and building them into the show no matter how small and get good writers and actors. Loved every minute of it and i'm happy it is so well received that it's basically just waiting for the official season 2 confirmation.
I can't remember if the show explained it or I just assumed it but him getting cancelled for being a communist I would think was really about Vault-tec destroying his career since he found them out.
It seemed like it was something common enough to find around. My gut tells me it's not actually anything that was ever specifically intended for that reason... some ghouls just discovered that this drug helps once one shows signs of going feral. Also though I think it could have something to do with the communist group-cult-whatever "Hollywood Forever", and I suspect it may well have something to do with Moldaver's longevity. Taken by a human, it grants essentially immortality. Taken by a ghoul, it staves off going feral. I do think there is much more story to tell there, but I also think this is probably on point. There is clearly a period of time between Coop going to Vault-Tec and the bombs. Not only did he go to a communist meeting, he was already largely opposed to the idea of Vault-Tec and he had bugged his wife's Pip-Boy... which she seemed to sure she could track... once he caught in all of these things, he's become persona non grata to Vault-Tec. Something tells me that after the bombs dropped he made it to 31, but they only let his daughter in. He was stricken from the list of Buds Bud's and forced to stay outside, giving an obvious plotline for S2 to be what's up with his daughter and potentially still his wife.
