That's a lot of comics though, right? Trying out different villains, and heroes, and see what sticks?

The one superhero film I'm looking forward to its release.

I do appreciate that sentiment. I'm not as attached to Thor as I am to other properties so I don't really know Gorr. You describe the character as a Thanos level antagonist. While I enjoyed Gorr's arc in the movie, I can understand wanting something closer to the source material--in many ways, that was a good part of my problem with Thor 3.

Ben Affleck's Daredevil movie has been added to Disney Plus. Just in time for Jennifer Garner's Elektra to appear in Deadpool and Wolverine.

It doesn't specify one way or the other. I would assume the original theatrical cut.

ETA: What's funny is that it is put in under "The Defenders". menu, which has generally only available in the adult section of Disney plus. Therefore, it is now the only entry under "The Defenders" on the normal menu.

Okay, it says it's 1 hour 42 minutes, which would make it the theatrical cut. A pity.

I finally watched No Way Home. I saw it when it was first released to streaming but fell asleep soon after Peter first visited Doctor Strange and woke up at the end credits.

It was really good! Loved all the villains and Spideys together! The end was beyond sad though. I also really liked the camera work for the beginning when Peter and MJ are trying to talk to May and Happy. The last shot of Peter in his new suit swinging through the snow was great too!

I never really understood why most of the time, it's the theatrical cuts that end up streaming. Does anyone know why? BvS for example. Or Stargate, to name a few. It's always the threatrical cuts.

Because it's the default, I guess.

Conversely, the streaming version of the Babylon 5 pilot movie "The Gathering" is the re-edited special edition.

Maybe they want it to be an exclusive to physical media and make a bit of cash off it. I doubt it though. Why don't they just release both cuts of the film on streaming? Or have an "uncut/directors cut" section.

Both fair enough reasons I suppose.

Still incredibly obnoxious, just like how you can't see any extra features from physical media in streaming.

I don't know if they're the same as on the discs, but Disney+ has a lot of special features for some of the big movies, like the Marvel, Star Wars, and their own movies.
And then on the other extreme, we have Star Wars, where they refuse to release the original versions of the Original Trilogy anywhere.

Fortunately, both cuts of the LOTR trilogy are available for streaming. Who even watches the theatrical cut?

I haven't watched them since the Extended Editions came out.
I haven't watched any of The Hobbit EEs though, for me part of the appeal of the LOTR ones was seeing stuff from the books that didn't make it into the theatrical editions, but there wasn't as much of that with The Hobbit movies.

For me the most substantial addition to the Hobbit EEs was the material with Thrain in Dol Guldur.

As far as I know, the Netherlands only has the theatrical versions. But I might need to check Prime a bit better.

Bob Iger once again confirms three movies / two TV series max a year going forward. Which does make the Professional Leakers endless pronouncements of new projects in the works most amusing. (Not amusing for the people who are suckered into giving them money on Patreon though.)

No mention of 'Blade' as a 2025 release. Time to put a stake through its heart?
