Now that the X-Men are going to be in the MCU, who do you think could play different X-Men? Let'scast or recast the X-Men, all of them. Cast, or recast any X-Men or mutants from the comics.

Dazzler - Beyoncé or Lady Gaga
Magneto - Anson Mount
Cyclops - Zac Efron, even though he is short for the part
Storm - Beyoncé

Let's build up a potential, or Trek BBS fan favorites, cast. Cast any X-Men or mutant that has appeared in the X-Men. Use the same actor for different characters, lets just get some casting done.

Next up is...

Blob - Big Show.
Colossus - Kane (WWE)
Morph - Jeremy Piven.
Havok - Peyton Meyer

Since I don't follow the activities of younger celebs these days, I'm truly horrendous at this kind of thing. What I will say is that whoever the filmmakers cast, I want them to respect the original characters, and not make their decisions based on arbitrary things like who's the so-called "flavor of the month". Fame and money are very alluring, to be sure...but they can also disappear as quickly as they're gained.

There are plenty of older X-Men, mutants, enemies, and allies. Destiny, Xavier, Moira, Banshee, to name just four.

Astonishing X-Men #1 (Joss Whedon) some New Mutant calls Emma Frost a tired old biddy, she responds furiously by saying "I'm 27 you C%%%!" Or at least I remembered her saying that word, but she probably didn't.

Years earlier but after Onslaught, Kitty Pride now in her 30s, returns to the teaching staff to rebuild the school in the wake of all that betrayal...

Katherine Pryde is OLDER than Emma Frost.

When they first met, Kitty was 12 and a half, and Emma was a madame in a super villain brothel.

Cast circa 1995, in their prime, when we loved them.

Matthew Perry - Cyclops
Coutney Cox - X-23
James Michael Tyler - Professor X
Matt LeBlac - Beast.
Lisa Kudro - Emma Frost.
David Shwimmer - Wolverine.
Jennifer Aniston - Siren
Paul Rudd - Ant Man.

Jesus...

Gunther died 3 years ago.

\\Marvel hasn't done that yet, so I don't see any reason to worry that they would start now.
The only characters I could maybe see them purposefully going for a bit of stunt casting would be characters like Dazzler or Lila Chaney, since they're pop/rock stars, it would make sense that they'd want to cast real pop/rock stars.

I do think Channing Tatum would be a good Gambit.

Josh Dumal as Cable

Brandan Faser as Blob, he did the whole fat suit for the Whale.

Austin Butler as Longshot.

Frankly, if I was casting, I’d throw the audition process wide open and make it all unknowns. You could create an entire generation of new Hollywood movie stars on a cast that size. Pick a celebrity for older characters like Xavier and Magneto, but all-new names and faces for everybody else.
Richard Donner did exactly that, and it made Christopher Reeve a household name. Bryan Singer took the same approach, but to a lesser extent. There were several well-known actors in that film, from other projects. Patrick was from "TNG" of course, and Ian's biggest film back then was probably "Gods and Monsters". Anna Paquin had already won an Oscar for her role in "The Piano", and while James Marsden and Halle Berry were both established character actors, neither had a huge hit yet. Famke Janssen had gained quite a bit of attention from "GoldenEye". Ray Park was mostly known for his stunt work, even though some did recognize him from playing Darth Maul in "The Phantom Menace". As for Rebecca Romijn, "X-Men" was only her third film; she was mainly known as a model before that. Hugh Jackman's situation was similar - he'd mostly been a stage actor in Australia for the previous five years, and replaced Dougray Scott at the last moment.
