Anyway, I'm done talking about Andor here, its majorly derailed a completely unrelated thread. You like Andor, I think its insulting shit, and neither of us are wrong, thats what opinions are.

Originally, it came across that anyone who liked Andor was a person who hates Star Wars. I respectfully disagree with you in thinking it was made by people who hate SW, but you have the right to that opinion.

 

If what I said seemed to imply that I thought that people who like Andor can't like the rest of Star Wars then I apologize for it coming off like that, I definitely didn't mean for it to come across that way. I do however maintain my opinion about the people who made the show and their relationship towards the SW franchise.

 

Objective:

1. Existing independent of or external to the mind; actual or real.
   "objective reality."

 

The idea that the people who run Star Wars would air a show by and for people who hate Star Wars is absurd. So is the idea that they haven't approved every script and every episode at multiple stages and they accidentally aired a hater show because they missed the nefarious haterificness of it.

Andor isn't Star Wars by or for people who hate Star Wars. It's Star Wars for people who liked Star Wars as kids but aren't kids now and are tired of kid stuff and shows that pander to nostalgic fans. It's Star Wars by and for people who think Star Wars can be taken seriously.

Doctor Who has to walk a similar line, being family-friendly but keeping viewers as they age, balancing fun and nostalgia with changes in what people expect from TV series as the years go by. I think by and large they've managed that pretty well, and for me, at least, better than Star Wars has on average.

 

I like living in a universe that gives me Andor and Mando.

 

I like Star Wars, but when do we get back to discussing Doctor Who in the Doctor Who forum?

Bonnie were shooting together today. They were asking people not to take photos but the scenes seem to be set in the past, so looks like Mel finally gets another trip in the TARDIS.
