Re-watched Picard S3 again, what are some books that give this "Vibe"? So Far I've come up with The Fall series, and a little of bit of Destiny. Dug the Ro Laren "Imposters" episode the most and it gave me a James Swallow feeling ::-) What are come Trek books that fall along these type stories and feelings?
I think Mission Gamma has that kind of thing where it's building from episodic and isolated to something bigger and more epic. More literally, The Ashes of Eden is pretty much if Picard was called Kirk.
As David says, not with Picard but Kirk in the whole Shatnerverse. You have a lot of the same tropes, a child for the main character, getting the band back together one last time, an over-the-top galaxy-threatening threat etc.
