I'm obsessed with this game. Of course, it's the first new game I've had in years and years.

I can find Heridium all over the place. Almost as plentiful as plutonium. Now, I can't find Chrysonite to save my life. Can't even buy the stuff.

Find a shelter with one of those scanners - the yellow/orange beam shooting in the sky. Scan for a transmission. Sometimes it will find a transmission from a drop pod. That's the little metal teepee looking things. Each drop pod has 1 slot for the exo-suit. Also, once you acquire an Atlas Pass 1 you can get an expansion slot at each space station you visit. Land at the station and take the ramp on the left. Use an Atlas Pass 1 to unlock that door. Expansion slot is inside. Remember that the expansion slots cost in ever increasing $10,000 increments.

Bypass chips can only be used once. However, you can keep making them and using them on the same scanner. I typically make 3 and scan for a transmission, shelter and either colonial outpost or monolith depending on my mood.

In my 3rd star system. I've 100% scanned lifeforms on 1 planet and I'm 1 shy of that on the planet I'm on now. One I find that last animal I'm outta here to the next planet. Think I'll take my time and thoroughly explore this star system because the next jump I make is to a space anomaly and I start down the Atlas path. I've got a 22 slot ship, 17 slot mining tool and like a 26 or 28 slot exo suit.

I'm on a cold weather planet where it is so plentiful that I ran out of slots for it.

I am not following the Atlas path. I open.lots of drop pods but no suit slot upgrades. I did not see the message you are referring to, but I have only visited one outpost and the occupant did not have antimatter in the inventory. Ityere is an outpost about 6 minutes away by air, which I will check out more carefully.

In every building there is a round computer terminal that looks like an eye, sometimes more than one. The main computers are the once in the center of the room. Sometimes there is an alien standing next to the terminal. After you arrive at the outpost, manufacturing lab, observatory, etc... you need to interact with the main computer terminal. You'll be given a math equation to solve. Pick the correct number combination that comes next. Do so correctly and you'll be rewarded with coordinates to a monolith, coordinates to a downed spaceship new technology, etc...

The drop pods... you need to go inside the drop pod and look at the hologram that looks like a backpack. You must press E (on a PC) or whatever it is on the Playstation to interact with the backpack. You'll be asked if you want to upgrade. It will cost you money.

Everything you need to interact with needs to be done with by pressing E or whatever... Just like getting into the spaceship, collecting isotopes from flowers, activating a knowledge stone, etc...

I checked, no hyperdrive installed. The last drop pod I entered did not allow me to interact with any symbol like that. The building with an alien did not allow me to interact with the computer short of trading.

The Atlas path is the closest this game has to a tutorial...

I'm not following the Atlas path either, yet have 35 suit slots. Twenty-three are from the teepees.

I have the impression something isn't right. I'd suggest you watch a few YouTube videos to see how it's supposed to work. If the problem is a glitch in your game itself, then you'll want to get that checked out as it might cause issues later.

Ship upgrade seems straightforward. Went to a pod but no interaction involving math.
I thought I was patched up for the PC version. Just found an outpost or larger collection of buildings. Maybe that will help?

Thanks. I have never seen that tepee structure in my travels. Cannot burn the steel door at the outpost I earlier found.

You can't, unless you have the railgun modification. Or so I'm told. I haven't had opportunity to use it yet. Otherwise, you'll need either the grenade or the boltcaster modification.

Finally found the tepee and gained a suit slot. I can buy antimatter and craft a warp cell but what good is it without hyperdrive plan?

I use grenades. But, be ready, the Sentinels come after you when you start shooting at the door.

Hmm none came after me. Usually I freeze when sentinels are scanning nearby. Have not been attached in several game-hours. Ditched getting in and looking for a shelter with a new alien?

Just go inside after you blow the door open, they will stand down very quickly...

I do. You just have to take a bit of punishment until the door comes down!
