Well, at least after the threat was gone their seemed to be a bit of a time jump where the military tried to spy out Superman with a drone which he promptly trashed to make a point.

Didn't look they were cooperating with him (yet).
That's what I meant, before trying to use high tech surveillance on him they should have done some investgating first.

Why would Warner Bros not want their teaser clip of Batman v Superman to be officially available online? Is it because they want the fans to continue thirsting for more? If that's the idea, it's working.

Probably the same reason they put out a 15-second teaser for the teaser trailer for the last Hobbit movie... (hint: two syllable word, starts with "stu", ends with "pid")

Maybe the studio thinks they can get rid of every shaky, blurry cellphone video that shows up on the web. I don't think they can. So why not post a perfect, high resolution clip online?

Probably because they can drive some traffic to theaters by premiering it front of some weak movie that they don't expect to perform very well.

I'm sure we'll see a version of that teaser released online eventually (just like we saw a modified version of the MOS Comic-Con teaser), but it probably won't be for awhile.

People can complain all they want, but with the movie not coming out til 2016, Warners probably doesn't see the point in releasing anything yet.

Just as an aside, one of my favorite players in MoS was Christopher Meloni. I liked Colonel Hardy's character arc, who proved himself a hero.

Yeah I love the moment after the Smallville battle when he says to the other soldiers "This man is not our enemy" (or something to that effect).

In fact the sight of Superman walking slowly past the soldiers might be one of my favorites in the movie.

    Indeed.

We probably won't see an official trailer until fall/winter 2014 or early 2015. Heck, even releasing a trailer summer 2015 is still a year before the movie technically opens. Most studios don't usually release teaser trailers for most blockbusters until a year before said movie opens anyway.

FWIW, Jupiter Ascending comes out February 2015. I could see WB releasing a teaser for that.

I think we're really lucky to be seeing so much promotional material two years before the movie is slated to open, but I know a lot of that is probably due to the movie getting pushed to May 2016.

    Yeah, me too.

I also liked the scene where Perry White and Lombard stayed behind to rescue Jenny from the rubble, and then when they realized they couldn't get her out, remained with her so she didn't have to die alone. It was those little moments of personal courage among the human characters that symbolized what Jor-El was telling Clark about how he could serve as an inspiration to bring out the best in them. I thought it was nice that they included those scenes instead of focusing solely on Superman doing all the heroics.

So, I might have been wrong. According to Batman-News, WB might actually release the Comic-Con trailer "soon".

I know the storyline of "Returns" but I haven't read the work front to back. Not sure how they'll fit the big fight into the movie, but it looks pretty cool.

Can anyone tell me if the animated movie is close enough to the graphic novel to be worth watching?

Not to derail, but it does seem pertinent.

I've read the TPB and seen the animated version. For the life of me I can't remember much of the animated version. Maybe because it's very faithful to the comic? or not? lol. Sorry.

Why use a multi-million dollar satellite to try and track him then?

I've read the story and have the animated film. Its very faithful to the book. It has a lot less of the talking heads from the comics, but that's not a bad thing, and it still gets the point across. I like the story in general, but I prefer the movie. Its art style is based off the comic, but its nicer looking while using the same designs. I can't say its totally completely unchanged, but having experienced them both I can't think of anything big left out. I'd say its definitely worth watching, especially if you like the DC Animated movies or the comic.

The animated movie is a pretty literal adaptation, the only major change is the removal of the voice over narration.

Well just because they know who he is doesn't mean they wouldn't want to keep track of his every move.

So how should Kryptonite be explained in future Superman films?
