Saw the sun behind the clouds this morning, looked way more awesome in person than in this picture but thought I would post picture anyway.

We went to the Museum of Science and Technology (The MOST) here in Syracuse this weekend, what a wonderful place! It was fun and engaging, with a lot of hands on for the kids. We saw the awesome IMAX Hubble movie on their domed IMAX screen.

The awesome Train setup they had,

Awesome. I love your pictures :luvlove:. It's raining today, so I can't try that, but I will as soon as the weather gets better.

Impressive would be an understatement to describe those ships.

It is, he was working on Fenway Park while sitting there. Here is his recently completed Yankee Stadium.

While investigating my broken water heater, I discovered this hanging on the wall of my basement.

A newer Photo of the Day (not a fan of some of the recent ones -- edit -- MY recent photos, that is; the ones in this thread by RoJo et al are awesome):

    oooh, that's an awesome one!
Goes to show that minimalism and playing with light can be art. Quite contrary, in my opinion, to some "official" art like Boys' grease-smeared bathtub or similar nonsense.

Timby, I have to agree about the "abstract" nature of your last two shots. Very cool!

Finally getting to see some green, but still about a foot of snow on the ground. Suppose to be in 50's next week, so maybe we'll see some more of the lawn sometime soon.

The community band I play with is preparing for a concert at a local arts festival. One of the pieces is a John Williams movie medley.

    Enjoying everyone's artistic efforts :techman:.

More please :) (Though I'd almost appreciate them more in a separate thread)

Had to replace my battery charger (because I lost it, I blame the cat); but here's the Photo of the Day:

We're in Albany for a meeting and last night went to a private 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing held in the restaurants penthouse dining room. The food was beyond amazing, really felt privilege to participate.

My H.S. graduation was in The Egg. The whole Empire State Plaza is really a neat place. Also, the building on the far middle-left is the New York Cultural Education Center, where my father worked in the Department of Education.

Were you near the Times Union Center? Kind of looks like it in the lower left.

    ETA:
Here are a couple of close-ups of the Empire State Plaza and The Cultural Education Center.

Is this the Cultural Education Center? It looks as if it had teeth.

It is ... though, it's slightly less imposing in real life than it is in my B&W depiction of it. The building also contains the New York State Museum, a place where I spent many hours as a kid.
