Is it known if the Vengeance bridge is an extensive modification of the Enterprise bridge or an entirely new set?

I really hope we get lots more Federation ships in Trek 3, preferably not ugly as **** ones like the Vengeance!

Any idea if there were any changes made to the bridge of the Enterprise? From what I saw in the movie, it looks to be exactly the same as the 2009 movie..

^I barely know what I'm even looking at. A Klingon "thing" that Transforms into a flying gun?

You can tell he's not a fan of Chambliss. Though that Klingon design is a mess.

And yet he designed two Star Trek films that are beautiful to look at and have a realism to them; they don't seem as design as the old Trek productions.

That might actually work better as a Borg ship with mods.

Speaking of the Borg: was is just me or did the STID-creative team try and fuck with our fan-minds with the reveal of the Vengeance's drydock? At first glance it looked so much like an old-Trek Borg-ship - to me at least.

At first I thought that enourmous drydock was meant to be the Botany Bay! I was thinking, "Damn, those Abrams people just have to make everything bigger"

He's a very nice guy, I just think he lacks the education and creativity to work in this genre, and his ideas are derivative and untenable.

Jeesh. I know he was asked the question, but I think it's kind of rude and unprofessional to throw a peer in your field under the bus out of the blue like that. I mean, if the guy gave you a hard time on the job or was critical of your work publicly, I could understand responding that way, but Helker made no complaints of that sort and said he was a nice guy. It probably won't affect Chambliss' ability to find work at all, but it might have with the bad word of mouth.
