He could have been recovering from the augment virus--and he still looks like a Klingon.

So, basically we're back at "I like this so I'll make shit up to justify it. But I don't like that so I won't bother to make shit up for it".

I don't know, he kind of looks like Kryten to me. Look at his head, it even has the familiar squareness and smoother forehead Kryten has.

Fair enough. It's not that big a deal and not something that will keep me up at night.

No, but Chang is a far more plausible looking Klingon, IMO.

Skin color and wrinkles are one thing, the shape and size of a cranium is something else.

So, all humans have the same shape and size of cranium?

    In the same ballpark, yes.

I wish that there were some better stills of Klingons from ID online to look at.

The Klingons from Into Darkness look like Klingons to me.

One, he has a ponytail thing behind his head. Two, that man is more uniquely Klingon than many of the other warrior self-parodies of the week that claim the name.

I knew I should have left the "5" on the end instead of putting the 6 there. I figured I was wrong and that Worf and Jadzia didn't start getting things rolling until early Season 6, but I twas wrong about being wrong, and that was wrong.

The uniforms really gives it away. It was halfway through season 5 that they switched to the gray-shoulder uniforms from First Contact, which they wore throughout all season 6. Picture shows Worf and Jadzia in a relationship and has them wearing the uniforms with department colour on the shoulders is clearly season 5.

I was super happy with the Klingons, obviously affected by the virus. Not dissimilar to the style if VI. Excellent.

The character who speaks looks exactly like a Klingon with no hair - just a vastly improved and heightened makeup design.

He doesn't look a thing like Kryten, other than being bald.

I hope that they ditch the hair from here on out - this looks better.

Some of the ones still in the helmets appeared to have hair. I'm guessing the Hair Club for Klingons doesn't have honor.

I think you are missing the point. This new reboot is Star Trek reimagined. They are not going to make every thing as it was. They are going to mix a little bit of old with a little bit of new. I think the movie gets bad reviews from "fans" because of ideas like this. The movie is NOT wrath of kahn. It is NOT ST TOS, it is not TNG. It is JJ's star trek.
