And as the ending of the episode points out probably meaningless as his group is already compromised.

Black Canary will take any opportunity to show-up a man in hand-to-hand combat, won't she? Give it a rest, bitch. You gonna get hurt one of the days.

Red Arrow taking money...yeah...well, he doesn't have Queen or Wayne industries paying for his lifestyle, does he?

    Chesire: "Our son!"....dun-dun-dun-duh!!

    "And our....dog!"....dun-dun-dun-duh!!

    "And our...TIME SHARE! ...dun-dun-dun-duh!!"

Roy: "Woah...you got us a time share? Get the hell out of here."

VIBE short was the highlight of the morning.

    "Let's a do a 2-part Vibe short."

    "Why? Who's Vibe?"

"Vibe is...some outdated Detroit superhero almost no one remembers."

"Sure...here's thousands of dollars. ANIMATE THAT SHIT!"

One of the reasons that the JLA/Avengers cross over never happened in the 80s is that Gerry Conway had Hawkeye and Black Canary getting it on, only a few months after his marriage to Mockingbird.

Yeah, this Sunday seemed to be Thorsday. ;)

This was kind of a weird one for me, since it wasn't so much an Avengers episode as a Thor episode under the Avengers title. I don't think we've seen a solo episode like this since the initial five pre-assembly episodes that were initially aired in short segments.

Also I just can't get past what a silly name "Beta Ray Bill" is, especially for an alien. Naming the ship Skuttlebutt (spelling from Wikipedia) is even weirder. It bugs me when aliens have English or Latin or otherwise Earthly names, but at least they usually make some sort of sense.

Beta Ray Bill is one of those names that I don't mind seeing in print, but hearing it sets off a "cheesy" alarm in my brain. Still, we got an episode with Beta Ray Bill, which is really awesome!

So Beta Ray Bill is actually his real name? I'd assumed it was a nickname when I'd heard references to the comics version.

According to the Marvel Database, his real name is "Bill; legally changed to Beta Ray Bill." It doesn't elaborate.

Bill was altered into a monster by his peoples standards, one would assume by betarays.

Ultimately he's a product of an alien super soldier program.

His identity is product brand as much as his enhanced physiology controlled by the state, to get all those millions of Corbinites into their stasis tubes without panic while the other 90 percent of their species burns.

What's Simonson got to say about this?

Two of his stories, manifesting simultaneously in two separate marvel Universes?

He probably won't know until his grandchildren tell him.

Damn! I was looking forward to coming home from work and and watching "The Ballad of Beta Ray Bill" on the DVR, only to arrive home and find out that the DVR @#$%ed things up and didn't record it. :(

Welcome to Canada, we're two episodes behind you guys now because they re-ran the Dr Doom episode instead of showing the Ant-Man one.

9 and 10 showed up online last night and 11 through 14 were uploaded today.

    I'm in hog heaven.

Does anyone else want to see Viper and Captain America hook up?

In the comics she was briefly married to Wolverine.

I think it was a real marriage with all the sex and stuff.

Not sure what to make of Marvel Dubs Josh Keaton's Spider-Man dialogue in Avengers: EMH with Drake Bell.

So, originally Josh Keaton, who portrayed Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spectacular Spider-Man recorded dialogue as Spider-Man for his upcoming appearances in Avengers: EMH. Since then, due to the cancellation of Spectacular Spider-Man and the current run of Ultimate Spider-Man, Marvel used the current Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Drake Bell, to dub over Keaton's dialogue.

I get why they did it, but, really, if the plan is to cancel EMH and replace it with a show more in line/tone/continuity(?) with Ultimate Spider-Man, why not leave Keaton's dialogue, and us, the fans, with the sense that EMH and Spectacular Spider-Man took place in the same continuity, and then use Bell on the new Avengers show when it debuts?

^I think it's still only a rumor or conjecture that EMH is going to be cancelled. And even if it is true, continuity does not loom as overwhelmingly in the minds of TV/film producers as it does in the minds of some fans. There are plenty of cases where the same voice actor is used for the same character in two or more different continuities (like Steve Blum being Wolverine in both Wolverine and the X-Men and The Super Hero Squad Show, or Adrian Pasdar being Iron Man in both Marvel Anime and Ultimate Spider-Man).

I figure it's probably just a promotional thing, to help play up USM and Bell. Although I can't say I approve of the choice.

This is all Jeph Loeb. Yost and Fine were pushed out halfway through season two production because Loeb didn't like the serialized approach; and Loeb is the one who made the decision to re-dub Spidey's voice in what was Yost and Fine's final episode of EMH.

Loeb came in like an 800 pound gorilla and could really care less about what was popular or what anyone else was doing. A new Avengers show will be on air by fall 2013, and it's going to be just like Ultimate Spider-man (which is Loeb's baby).

heh, oh yeah i remember that. somewhere in the late 80s Wolverine went from being a hairy little guy that people like Jean Grey wanted nothing to do with...to a walking sex machine.
