We'll be getting 30 minutes of deleted footage in the "Avengers" Blu-Ray release (I'm guessing probably sometime in November, maybe October. He talks about the scene with Peggy as well. Apologies if this particular article has been posted, I didn't see it.

So you know how quite a few people were saying that re-naming the film as 'Marvel Avengers Assemble' over here was unnecessary? Well I was just talking about the film with my parents and they thought it was going to be about the old tv show

So did my brother, when I was telling him about the movie. He was thinking, "Why would Loki be a villain in the Avengers?" I'm sure he had images of Emma Peel judo-kicking a Norse god.

Also Empire magazine are having a competition on Twitter to win two pairs of tickets for a screening tomorrow night. All you have to do is tell an Avengers joke, the funniest wins!

For any UK users send it to @empiremagazine and #Avengersjoke

but im not sure how adding "Assemble" helps any, one it makes it sounds like a Transformers movie, and 2 (whilst never having seen The Avengers) im pretty sure there could be a movie, about the first time, those character meet each other, or we assembled, possibly by the head of a shady top secret organisation.

Only way I can think to solve it is "Marvel Comics Avengers", but that wont stop anyone calling it "The Avengers" as most people will.

Pretty sure once you see the trailer, people will not think its a move about those Avengers, both Iron Man and Hulk are easily recognisable, even to those who may not have seen the movies.

Avengers Assemble may well be a slogan from the comics, but only comic book fans will really know this, and its those people who are most likely to know which movie they are watching.

Marvel Avengers would have been fine I think. But I agree, once people actually get to the cinema and see the posters there would be no confusion.

to be fair, anyone seeing this trailer, may have understandable confusion ;)

Watching it makes me thing, people may think Black Widow is a recast Emma Peel.

Total neophytes, maybe, but not anyone who saw Iron Man 2...or anyone who notices the guy in the red and gold armored suit in the rest of the trailer.

BBC Breakfast did an item about it this morning - due to the preview showings - and they referred to it solely as "The Avengers" throughout both the anchors' comments and the VT report. the male anchor did make a crack about the old TV show, but that was all.

The new Thor vs Iron Man clip was pretty cool.

Although once again I have to wonder how Tony can survive being knocked around like that. It's not like there's a whole lot of cushioning in that suit.

It's a Hollywood summer movie based on a comicbook. Little suspension of disbelief, please.

It's also interesting how Thor's lightning "overcharges" the suit... If the suit only has x-power capacity that's it. "Overcharging it" would cause the suit to blow up (electrically) not somehow find a place to put all of that extra energy?

It's still a fun clip, though and shows sort of what I said above in my speculative "plot summary" of the various egos and back-grounds of the characters clashing. (Particularly Tony's billionaire playboy egomania clashing with Thor's, well, godhood and everything. ;) (Though the end of the movie suggests he'd gotten over himself a bit, hence why he got the power of Mjölnir back.)

Um, it's just a harmless, in-universe observation. No need for the condescending attitude.

To be fair, there have been times in the comic that Tony is pretty injured in the suit...taking off his helmet and spitting up blood, and having collapsed lungs and broken ribs and stuff like that.

Adi Granov basically pioneered how the movie Iron Man would look with the art in Extermis

    http://marvel.com/images/gallery/st..._all-new_comic_app_for_iron_man/image/913616#

Coming full circle with Extermis. I remember a panel where blood can be seen splattered on the heads up display of Iron Man's helmet.

If I was going for a Noprize, I'd say that the armour has capacitors throughout that charge individually depending what he's doing - if he's about to fire the left glove, that one charges. The ARC generator wouldn't have the output to charge all the capacitors simultaneously.

Meanwhile, if I were building armour with some kind of fancy repulser tech built in, I'd have multiple layers separated by micro-repulsers; the repulsers would dampen any physical shock.

    There you go. Nocharge.
