Thanks for the compliment, man. Though I have to be honest, I was never really that good compared to some of the others around here who are truly experts like FluxCapacitor and Bears Discover Fire.

That was exactly what I thought when I first looked at it. :)

I belonged to a theatre company in university. We used to write a 2.5-hour show every year and put it on in February. A friend posted a link on Facebook this morning to an online album containing many, many photos from those shows. I spent far too much time this afternoon going through them. Here are a few that I was in. (Warning, I've posted quite a few - believe me, it was hard to decide which ones to share.)

    From 1989:

I'm in the background, as the character Shermy from the comic strip Peanuts. (Unfortunately, this was the only photo from the 1989 show that I appeared in.)

    From 1990:

As the ghost of "Enginews", the Engineering faculty's then-defunct campus newspaper, menacing Francis Bacon:

More or less the same pose, but during a performance:

Falling for Bacon's offer of a drink, being poisoned (don't ask how one poisons a ghost, it was a comedy):

From the same show, playing a different character (I'm in the middle - the three of us were playing clones):

    From 1991:

As one of the singers performing the theme song to the TV show "Seven French Chefs Who Fight Crime":

A closeup of the group - that's me on the far left, and my ex-husband on the far right:

As a different character, during a musical number:

A posed shot as yet another character (I think I played five different roles in that show) - this time as Joey Jeremiah in a scene spoofing Degrassi High:

(There was actually a small chance that we were going to be able to get Pat Mastroianni, who actually played Joey on the show, and Stacey Mistysyn, who played Caitlin, to do the show one night. When my ex and I met, he was sharing a house with Stacey and her sister. Unfortunately we couldn't get it to work with their schedules.)

From 1992 - I was only playing one character that year, but I was in about half the scenes:

My wife organized a surprise party for my 40th birthday and presented me with a pretty cool cake.

Love the scruff. And it takes a real man to wear a pink shirt. Wait, is that salmon? Mauve? I can never tell the difference. In any case, how you doin'? ;)

I have the exact same ships. I HATE the yellow Stargazer.

Taken 2 days ago with the camera in the laptop. I was watching something on NetFlix, and the both of them were watching too.

What breed of dog is he?

I'm more of a cat person myself, but I like big dogs - since they're usually more calm than smaller ones. My family has always had cats and small dogs (Miniature American Eskimos, Jack Russell Terriers, and Yorkie and Silky Terriers). They are, without a doubt, the yippiest, most active dogs I have ever encountered. Give me a Basset Hound any day. I've also wondered what it would be like to have a St. Bernard, but I don't know how active/enthusiastic they are.

He's a Bernese Mountain Dog. They're awesome if you like to have them around the family, they're especially great with children. But, you need tons of space - the city isn't for them.

I don't like smaller breeds as much as what I refer to as "real" dogs (i.e. ones that actually bark a sonorous WOOF instead of yapping annoyingly ;)). Unfortunately, I don't have the money, time and space for a "real" dog to live with me. As soon as this changes, I'm getting one.

Hermes here I try to visit as often as I can - I know he's happy living with my parents.

I know that having a dad who takes you to the Zoo may seem like a small thing to many, but I think your son is very lucky to have you! :techman:

My wife went to great lengths to acquire micro machines that I don't already have so I really appreciated them, but one of the first things I commented on was the fact that the Stargazer is yellow. Who the hell vetted that?
