OK, so the incident with Scott happened in much the same way... But WTF started the interaction between universes in the first place with no P2.0? This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Carl Sagan's theory about history being like a woven tapestry, and if you pulled out one thread or even two, the basic appearance remained the same? I'll buy that, but the thing is, the writers of this show have really pushed the Butterfly Effect notion with events being set into motion by one act - Walter crossing over and taking 2.0 from the other side.

So without that, I just don't see how the two universes interacted. I accept that Walter and Belly still looked into the alt-verse, but there would've no motive to cross over.

    I'm just sayin'.

Man, they're really pimping the Season 3 DVD and BDs, aren't they? Which the Missus and I just finished watching about a half-hour before the premier.

    Talk about a Fringe-binge!

Olivia looks less frumpy here than she did in the original timeline.

Going back on my Peter-rant, here's another question: Why was Olivia in a position to get switched with Alt-Liv if there was no Peter to go rescue in the first place?

Yes! Peter is still hanging onto the Fringe universe. Can't wait to have you truly back, Peter.

Good episode, nothing special. Lincoln is a good addition to the show (apparently Bolivia doesn't recognize him) and the last five minutes were good.

I think this is going to be a frustrating season. Anyway, I voted 'stuck between universes'. I knew we wouldn't really get any answers, but I was hoping for something a little more coherent. Hopefully, it'll improve over the next few weeks.

I don't know, the way Bolivia looked at him, I got the impression that she knows his counterpart. I mean, that shouldn't be different if the basic structure of our universe is much the same (Walter in the looney-bin, Liv and Scott, Asteroid working in the lab).

Yeah, this episode wasn't really an attention grabber to me but the ending did stir up a bit of my interest.

I'll leave off with one final question: Does Nina still have a fake hand in this reality? Think about it.

Next week, I promise to have a more appropriate cast-photo. See you all then.

Wait a second, my take on the episode was this:

Walter at some point says, "Some even die twice." And Olivia or Astrid says to Walter (at another point) re:Walternate that he has good reason to hate Walter.

So until the Watcher uses his Radio Shack device to erase Peter from time*, both Peters did exist, and Walter did cross over to steal Alt-Peter (the one we've seen for the last three seasons), but fails to save him. So you still have the foundation intact for why the Walters distrust each other and all that, you just don't have Peter involved in anything past the kidnapping. At least that's my interpretation.

*And when that device is used, it probably won't even change that, but just delete the echoes of Peter from the current timestream. Which is also just a guess.

It was a good episode. Anna Torv really sold the lonliness part very well. I did appreciate how Lincoln Lee managed to bring a faith to the broken team. I really liked how Astrid went around with the portable camera and had to explain Walter's odd request on the dead woman's body in the car to the other medic.

That's not a bad theory; it does explain some of the issues I had with the current set-up. Quite likely you are correct, and we'll learn in the next few eps that both Peter Prime and 2.0 did exist, but died as children.

That's brilliant, really. I'll go with that notion until we see something that seems to suggest otherwise.
