Yeah, it sure is addictive - and a very, very pretty game to boot. I've been playing the Gran Turismo series for 12 years now, so at least the addictiveness of Forza 2 and 3 didn't come as a surprise :D I'm a car nut, what can I say.

I remember my brother playing GT and GT2 on his very first playstaton. He used to play well into the night, say up to 3 or 4 AM... :shifty:

It's probably -the- game that I am missing now that I have an Xbox. But I do have my hopes up for Test Drive Unlimited 2. :techman:

^ Yeah, 3-4 in the morning sounds about right :techman: GT5 is basically my sole reason for getting a PS3 :D

Don't know about Test Drive, the last part of that series that I've actually played was Test Drive 6 (PC) back in 1999  I remember it having a decent soundtrack though.

One of my friends generally prefers the GT series, but enjoys the Forza series too. (He also waited to get a PS3 until GT5 came out)

For myself, the next games on the agenda are replays of Tomb Raider Anniversary and Oni :)

  5. I'm playing Assassin's Creed 2... and it's AMAZING! I love stealth-based games, and this one is almost everything I've ever wanted out of a video-game.

Speaking of stealth-based games, I plan on revisiting Thief I (aka Dark Project) and Thief II soon. Awesome games.

As for the Assassin's Creed series, I kind of dread getting into it, since I haven't played the original and don't want to buy and play a whole trilogy of games right now - I hardly have enough time for the games I already own to begin with

I would say that you would miss very little if you skipped the first game. It's a good game, but the sequel improves on it in every way possible. The first game is literally performing the exact same five actions over and over again the entire game. The sequel completely throws that out the window. And the story is interesting but the sequel is light years better. And you play a different character in the sequel so the only story you need to know is from the brief framing story which you could get reading the wiki synopsis.

It's like AC1 is the Hobbit and AC2 and ACBro are LOTR 1 and 2.

^ That's a great analogy. And yeah, the guys over at the Giant Bombcast said similar things about AC1 (they recommended only rushing through the story aspects of AC1 if you really want to play it, and doing none of the optional stuff) - problem is, I'm a completionist and kind of OCD when it comes to watching/reading/playing sequels in the correct order

Does Brotherhood actually have a storyline/campaign, or is it just more like an AC2 expansion type deal that tacks on multiplayer? I bought AC1 for the Xbox a couple years back but found it dull as heck, then got AC2 for the PS3 because it sounded like they'd fixed most of the problems I had with the first game (and I got it for the PS3 because my Xbox was being repaired at the time), but I haven't finished AC2 yet and I'm not too sure about ACB.

ACBro is a fully fledged game with a story and campaign just as big as AC2 and it definitely contains very important events in the larger story.

^ Agreed. For a while I was also afraid it was gonna be just a multiplayer game. But it feels like a proper AC game, they just added MP to it.

I was hesitant to get Donkey Kong Returns after the utter disaster that was Metroid: Other M, but I'm having tons of fun playing it.

Moved on to Tomb Raider Underworld (Camera seems to suck though)

    I'll probably also replay ME1 & 2 (yet again)

Put Far Cry 2 aside at about 1/3 of the story missions and will revisit it later. Good game, although it remains a bit of creating your own pleasure. That's just isn't easy at every moment.

'finished' Defense Grid (got a gold medal on 40 missions at it's challenges). Bougth the first dlc maps to finish this winter. I truly love this game, have been playing it on and off since September 2009.

After seeing the trailer for ME2 I grabbed my copy of ME2 to finish the adventures of Maaike Shephard. Playthrough 4, planning to have a higher number of people not loyal (by failing their loyalty quest) and thus killed in the suicide mission.

Now that I've put down Fallout 3, I've gone back to Enslaved and done chapters 1-3. Overall I would say its a decent game and for the price will probably turn out to be a small gaming gem from a pretty average year of gaming IMO.

I started playing Enslaved but got bored after an hour or so.

My next game to beat will be Uncharted 3. I'll be getting it day one while BigFoot has to wait for it to get shipped to him, so can I beat it on Hard before he gets his copy? :)
