Aw, they are all so adorable! Unfortunately, the last of my dogs have already passed on and I have no current pets. Though, I am thinking about, once I move, getting another pet, but I can't decide to get another dog or jump in to the cat pool. But these pictures have made my day.
Hubs and I were petless our first decade - then got dogs and have only recently added a cat (after 22 years!) and I'm so glad we got her - she's a little snuggler and she's been a great fit for our family. Loving all the cat pix too - although puppies are hard to resist - unlike human babies there is no such thing as an ugly puppy!
Locutus of Bored, your little Lilly reminds me a lot of my sweet Violet! She was two months old in this picture: And here she is at one year old: Hmm, they both have flower names, too. I hope your baby cat brings you as much happiness as Violet has given to my husband and me!
That one cat almost looks like some wild animal! What coloring! I'm sure they are adorable, but i have a problem with this. I live next door to a certified crazy cat lady who leaves dishes of food out for all the strays and neighborhood cats. What has happened over the years is the cats mate and produce more and more kittens. In fact, hundreds of kittens, who become cats that mate again and again. The problem became so horrible that i was forced to call every agency under the sun to help, but thanks to bullshit beaurocracy, no one could help me. Her house STINKS as does mine thanks to all the cats who use my house, roof, front porch and yard as their own personal litterbox. If you don't do something about your neighbor's strays now, you will have a real problem down the road like i do now. WOW! Gato is gorgeous!!!!
I had a siamese (Muffin) when I was little that looked just like Cleo. Many siamese cats have really skinny faces but I like the look of Cleo and Muffin.
^ I'm not really a cat person, but I have always liked Siamese cats. I had two while growing up, and very much enjoyed them. Plus, they look like they stuck their tails in an electric socket or something - sort of 'burnt around the edges'. As cats go, they are great!
^ That is just great! It's so wonderful to hear about rescued animals that are given such great homes. I just can't fathom how anyone could abandon a helpless animal...but in this case it sounds like the cat ended up with a better deal! And so did you!
Thanks. Violet is a cutey too. Lilly keeps us busy with her running around, but in a good way. She's very playful. When she's bored she'll start chasing her tail, which is hilarious.
I don't know where you live, but can't the local animal control authorities or the local SPCA or equivalent be of any help? Sounds like the situation is bad for the cats and for the neighbors, and it's creating a health hazard.
Okay, that's just weird. My first cat was named Ebony too, and we got him the same way. Just started showing up one day looking for food. Even looked similar.
