I've upgraded my Charts with new ships, new pics of old ones and put them on a nifty little grid... I'm planning on revamping my small ship chart next.
It's kinda big... I guess... Then again, I wouldn't know. The file is too large for my blackberry, and I've opened some pretty large porn... Er, trek pictures on it!
OK, I have looked and looked and I can't spot the Enterprise from this summer's movie. I see the Kelvin, but no Enterprise. EDIT: Never mind; found it in the lower left corner. No wonder I couldn't find it; I was looking for something somewhat larger than the size of a Galaxy-class Enterprise. How come you're still showing the "Nero" Enterprise at 366 meters when multiple official sources put her at about 725 meters in length?
Down Below right under the Kazons. And yes I'm still in the camp that thinks the Nu Enterprise is no bigger than the TOS/TMP version.
Nice job. You can check the size of the Wells class at Drex Files and see the original design drawings (overall length: 195 meters).
I thought it was bigger than that... http://johneaves.wordpress.com/2009...of-the-enterprise-in-comparison-with-the-u-s/
Now that's ridiculous! Everyone knows it doesn't go more'n a mile west of the Mississippi. And definitely a great looking chart. You could add the FASA ships maybe?
A number of them are already there. Starfleet ships are under the Surya and Consitution classes, the Northhampton and Lotus Flower class (FASA's Kobayashi Maru) farther along the top, some of the Klingon types are among the Klingon ships, etc. What would definitely be useful would be a supplementary list of sources (FASA, Starfleet Museum, computer games, etc.).
...and a locating grid (you know: letters across the top, numbers along the side, so that if a ship is identified as being in G-07 or AA-12 we can identify where to look for it).
gah- my computer is too slow for the size of the picture. Warning- no one buy a shit ACER! I like most of the chart, but there are a lot of really ugly variants, like the E-D with E-E nacelles... That is the ugliest thing I've ever seen.
How about including the Death Star and V'Ger as well. But the 82 AU version from before the director's edition.
No, that honor would belong to the aptly-named USS Vulture. I won't tell you where it is in the chart; the joy of discovering this hideous monster on your own is something I wouldn't want to deprive you of.
