Hmm. I definitely plan on checking this out, but not before I see Star Trek again. So it might have to wait. Or not. Depends on when I see Trek, hopefully during the week.

The "inner geek" is really looking forward to it but I do have low expectations, and not just because of McG. Not even the credibility of Christian Bale and co-screenwriter Jonathan Nolan can flush away this somewhat queasy feeling I'm having in regards to my feelings over the film. We'll see come this weekend, I guess.

I am anxious to hear Danny Elfman's score, if anything.

    Worst...poster...ever.

Seeing it Thursday night, 7pm. We'll see. It's gotta' be better than Rise of The Machines.

The look on Bale and Worthington's faces are a riot. Worthington looks like he's caught between confusion and being caught masturbating by his mom, and Bale looks hugely constipated.

Bale totally looks like he's out in the woods trying to pinch a loaf.

*Sigh*. Are we really surprised? What did we expect from McG? He legally changed his name Mc-fuckin-G, for christ's sake.

Anyway, I'll obviously see it because I'm a consumerist whore with a fondness in my heart for T2.

    Fuckin'
    Geeee.

And he made it official enough to use as his billing.

And I'm only partially being serious.

And I'll be there on Friday anyway.

    Twilight just learned something new!

I hereby rescind everything I've said about McG in this thread. I'm sure T4 will soar to the highest apex of human artistic achievement.

    Screw you haters.

I just saw it two hours ago at a sneak.

My grade: I'll Be Back, A, 3.5*** out of 4

I could care less what critics think. Glad when we synch up but I've enjoyed enough movies they trash that wiping my ass with their opinions is about all the paper is good for.

I saw it for free and will be paying to see it Saturday cause I already have the tickets.

The movie starts in 2003 some time apparently before Judgement Day happens in T3. We have direct ties to T1 and several visual similarities to T2. The catch phrase is there and my crowd which had been intensely watching gave applause and hoots. There was applause at the end and the ending further shows that quote from Sarah in T2 where she says something to the affect "The machines have been and always will be a part of his life".(The scene outside the service station where John is showing the T-800 how to high five)
I'm not going to break it down cause so few have seen it and I apparently am the only vote thus far.

Eager to discuss it with those who've seen it and not just excited to bash it with no justification.

I'm seeing Star Trek again this weekend but I'll try to catch it the following week. The problem with Star Trek is it was so good and so upbeat I'm not as interested in seeing the post-9/11 doom and gloom horsecrap they've been plopping down on the big screen for so long.

Anyway I hope it's as good as the original or at least as good as T3. Shit I'd even settle for another T2 though about 50% less campy. Probably not much chance of that though. Christian Bale is turning out to be the Shatner of my generation.

Am I the only Terminator fan who was never really interested in seeing a Future War movie to begin with? The little flashbacks in the previous movies were cool and all, but I wasn't dying to see two hours of people running around a dreary, desolate landscape getting shot at by Terminators. lol

I hadn't wanted to see it as I grew older, but when I was a kid I wanted to see the Future War.

Now, yeah I want to see it just as much as when I was a kid. :D

You're lucky, they made me sign an NDA. I can't talk about it until Thursday more than vague comments and little asides.

I'll probably see the movie Thursday, though the RT ratings are not encouraging. I certainly won't be seeing Trek again.

That sounds like you're implying T2 was more campy than T3? You can't be serious.

    Fair enough.

I'm still going to go see it...but...gahhh....I have a feeling it's going to be a lot like Brian Posehn's analogy about the last three Star Wars films and how that's like your uncle trying to rape you at Christmas.

Also, I didn't know McG also directed We Are Marshall, so there's one more reason to dread this.
