If the actors get paid for every episode, this is like the easiest paycheck ever -- living in Hawaii, you're not in every episode and you're not the lead in every one you are in. In the preview, facial hair guy looked like Paul Giamatti until I got a good look at him the second time. If the resolution for Life on Mars isn't satisfactory, can they bring Sam Tyler to the island? They're only a year ahead of him. On a side note, there's a chance Nathan Fillion's Castle could be a success since it comes on after Dancing With the Stars. Of course, the redhead with the sunglasses and bad one-liners owns that time slot.

Fixed. We've seen the fence stop Others before. It knocked out Patchy and has always stopped Juliet. It would seem to be further proof that Richard is... different. My guess is the true island natives are like Richard. They don't age and have certain powers. I don't get why he wasn't wearing his Hostile clothes, though.
That's a good point. He was still wearing his pirate garb, and Jack Sparrow eyeliner, when he meets young Ben in the jungle some time later.
