Danny DeVito as a Ferengi. Would've been AWESOME! Still probable?

Well, he certainly has the height factor working in his favor. I don't know, I think it would take seeing him in costume/in character to see if he would make a good Ferengi or not. He's such a recognizable actor. It could be difficult to suspend disbelief.

It doesn't matter if he likes Star Trek or not. An acting job is an acting job.

Perhaps, but I'd think that someone of his "caliber" would need to like trek to tolerate the Tellarite make up.

Naw. He'd just have to tolerate the money they'd be giving him.

Well, are there any other famous Trekkies who you can see donning alien make up? Tom Hanks was up for the Zefram Cochrane role in FC, and is a big Trekkie.

Bowie, as mentioned above, is another great choice. He already looks alien enough (and has played aliens in the past), so he wouldn't have to even wear make up! LOL!

How about he play a Ferengi alongside Arnie who is a Klingon. Star Trek XII-Twins! Dr Soongs genetic experiments go wrong, hilarity ensures.

I feel wrong for saying this - but I'd pay to see that.

Mr. T would be a very conflicted Vulcan. How would he reconsile living a life free of emotion when his defining characteristic is the pity he feels for fools.

    It's very tragic. :(

The obvious choice would be Mr T as a Klingon, or maybe a Nausicaan.

I watched Zoolander last night and seeing David Bowie made me wonder if Ben Stiller would do it. Considering how much of a fan he is (and the obvious inspiration of the villain in that movie) I'd say yes ;)

Hopefully any future treks have the budget for actors such as these (although Mr. T would be cheap to get I imagine) due to the possible success (gotta be positive and hopeful) of the new film.

Otherwise, no, they couldn't afford a good cameo even from these guys.
