I really like it. These characters are trying to figure each other out, and that makes the story very interesting. I am pretty confident it will not have a "dreary" conclusion.

I'm struggling to muster any enthusiasm for this. I am, however, really looking forward to Affleck's Batman movie.

I believe that matches exactly when Zod uses his heat vision for the first time in Man of Steel.

Trailer looks amazing! Is it just me or does it seem like the three of them are fighting someone in the same place and it's not each other?

There may be a new, significant threat in the film, and I don't think it's Luthor himself.

That Zod is being transformed into Doomsday in this film.

It would make more sense for Zod's corpse to become Bizarro.

Well I think it should be clear by now that DC is trying to portray all these characters in a much more interesting and complex way than we've seen before, and have them be more than just the usual simplistic comic book figures.

And in the real world it only makes sense that the Kents might feel protective of their son or have fears about him being exploited or hunted down by the government. Not really sure why that doesn't ring true at all for some people.

And of course you're forgetting that Martha also talks about him being Earth's hero and angel and "anything they need you to be". Just like Jonathan also talked about how Clark was going to eventually change the world and do amazing things, etc. They both clearly want Clark to use his powers for good and to help people, but that doesn't mean they don't have normal, realistic doubts now and then, like real parents do.

The footage looked generally good, but two thoughts:

    1) This movie is going to be incredibly dense and packed with entirely too much shit.

    2) I don't think the trailer music could be any more "DAA DAA DAA THIS IS HAPPENING AAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAA CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS SHIT MOTHERFUCKERS" if it tried.

That didn't stop Age Of Ultron from making some 900 million dollars worldwide.

I suppose that's a possibility, but I didn't really get that sense from the trailer myself. I mean it's basically Batman trying to take down Superman, while Lex uses Zod's body to create a superweapon of some sort, and hovering around the periphery the entire time is Diana doing her own investigation.

Doesn't seem like that many elements or plotlines to me. Or nearly as many characters as we saw in Age of Ultron, which really DID feel overstuffed.

Well, it sure doesn't look like just-another-movie pooped out by Marvel. Pretty epic, in fact.

    I love Cavill as Superman.

Nope, it's a callback to the Silver/Bronze-Age continuity, which had them connected by a bridge. I specifically recall one 1980ish issue of World's Finest that had the population of one city migrating to the other via the bridge for some reason.

What, are you trying to make a little money after school?

Well, that trailer was interesting. This is definitely a movie I'll be giving a chance, although I'm not as excited for it as I am the Marvel movies coming out in 2016.

I think it looks great. Using the destruction in Metropolis as a story point to justify Batman taking up arms against Superman makes sense. I actually think that's far more interesting then having them just magically become friendly and team up against some third party. Let them burn-in during this film and go from there.

The film definitely continues to look interesting...but after the uneven mess that MoS turned out to be, I'm still only cautiously optimistic.
