I know he's said repeatedly that he won't play his father's incarnation of the Doctor, but I'd kill to see even a Time Crash-esq mini episode with Three and Twelve...
The fact that he finally feels comfortable enough to play the role, if only for Halloween, is a step in the right direction. Here's hoping this eventually leads to an "official" reprisal.
Was reading about Sean Pertwee on Wiki the other day and his young son is a Doctor Who Fan and his grandfather is one of his favourite Doctors.
He's on Gotham, and it struck me that while the voices are completely different, the family resemblance is strong. Good for him , dressing up as the part. Made me smile.
I don't even find the voices that different. Pitch may differ but inflection and the slight husky rasp are similar...
Quite dashing, like his father. Honestly, I'm surprised he did this considering how much he says he doesn't want to portray his father. Yeah, I know dressing up for Halloween isn't the same as professionally playing the role, but I still found it a bit surprising.
He even got the ring! I wonder whether he's wearing one of the costumes his father kept for the convention circuit or whether he bought the clothes new. Maybe this means he's not that averse to portraying his father as he used to be. Or maybe it was just his way of chasing away old ghosts. In any case I'm still a bit surprised he actually did that.
