New 'Star Trek XI' Trailer Coming Soon

November will begin Paramount's marketing push for Star Trek XI.

As reported by TrekMovie.com, the veil of secrecy regarding Star Trek XI should start to lift beginning next month according to unnamed sources.

The full theatrical trailer is "not a teaser, but a real trailer with footage from the film," according to an unnamed source speaking with TrekMovie. It is expected that the exterior of the Enterprise will be shown, as well as the Enterprise Bridge.

In addition to the trailer, expect to see more Star Trek-related interviews including magazine interviews and possibly new imagery.

Star Trek XI releases in May 2009.

Just think, last year at this time we were thinking this movie was coming out at Christmas 2008. Man does a lot change in a year. Looking forward to seeing the trailer, but I really wish they had started something with it a lot earlier.

I cant wait as well... November - May should be enough time to get a good build up for the film, as long as after this trailer we dont have to wait months for anything else :S

I think 'more interviews' means more interviews in the mainstream. They've done all the sci-fi portals.

This is when a really big star would have been handy - it would have self-marketed in a way.

Yes. And how great it was working with the crew, writers, director, producer, etc.
"It was really GREAT working with JJ and he really does have an INCREDIBLE vision."

Good thing JJ held on to the secrecy so dearly until November 08, that's going to make a world of difference. Imagine if we'd known what the Ent-bridge looked like in early summer. I'd have thrown myself off a cliff in hysterics!

Hopefully in April we won't find out the movie's being pushed ahead to Christmas 2010. Which at this stage, I wouldn't raise a cocked Vulcan eyebrow at.

(PS. Sorry my post is so Negative, but I'm still pissed that the date was pushed SO FAR ahead to begin with.)

Seriously though, I'm glad to see that the push is finally going to begin. I'm quite eager to get my first, real look at this film and see if it confirms some of what we've been hearing for months.
