New 'Star Trek' Toys

Johnny Lightning, who produces small four-inch long Star Trek ships, will be offering two more sets of the toy ships for the 2008 holiday season.

As reported by TrekMovie.com, there will be two new "waves" of Star Trek ships, including several non-Federation ships including Klingon and Romulan ships.

"Wave 5" includes the Enterprise NX-01, the Galileo Shuttlecraft II, a "self-destructed" version of the Enterprise from Star Trek: The Search for Spock and a Klingon D7 Battlecruiser. This group of ships can be preordered now at New Force Comics & Collectibles.

The "Wave 6" ships to be offered beginning in October are as follows: The USS Yamato (Star Trek: The Next Generation: Contagion,) USS Excalibur (Star Trek: Court Martial, The Ultimate Computer,) a Borg Cube (with explosions in yellow and green phaser fire,) and a Romulan D7 Battlecruiser.

It is expected that more of the toy ships will be made available in 2009.

To read more and to see pictures of the ships, head to the article located here.

LOL. Stupid name. We have a "Yomato" street up in Boca Raton, so I guess my mind saw that instead of "Yamato".

Re: New 'Star Trek' Toys

I like the BSG ones a lot, but I think I may pass on these. Maybe if one or two ships catch my eye.

I think I'm just too into the vipers from old and new BSG

*Sigh* Even more repaints of the exact same models. Come on guys! There are dozens of ships to do! Quit it with re-paints!
