- Star Trek XI's Scotty, Simon Pegg, would like to write for the forthcoming Star Wars TV series according to a report at contactmusic.com, but may face an uphill battle after comments he made regarding The Phantom Menace. "I might try to wheedle my way back into the affections of Lucasfilm (Lucas' production company) and write an episode of the new live action Star Wars TV series," said Pegg.
- Where There's a Sea, the newest Star Trek: Intrepid film release, in now available for download according to Star Trek: Intrepid.. In this episode, the Ariadne comes under attack from Orions while transporting Lieutenant Cole and the fragile relationship between Starfleet and the Merchant Service worsens.
- In an interview with The National Ledger, as reported by Trekweb, Chris Pine is ready for the fame that portraying James T. Kirk will bring him. "It's definitely something I thought about upon taking something like 'Star Trek," said Pine. "There's a certain price one pays for being able to act, which is what I've chosen to do, and a certain price to get to that position where one is able to get more opportunities, to be picky, to say yes and no, and be particular."
- TrekWeb reports that writer/artist John Byrne has posted some of his starship designs for the upcoming Crew comic book mini-series on his website located here. The Crew mini-series will feature characters from the Christopher Pike era, including Captain Robert April.
- The Remastered Second Series of Star Trek, the Original Series DVD set, will release this Tuesday according to Amazon. The list price is $84.98 but fans will be able to find the set for $59.99 or less.

Wow. If Pine's immitation of Kirk is as spot on as his immitation of Shatner's arrogance, I may just have to change my mind about seeing this film.

Wow. If Pine's immitation of Kirk is as spot on as his immitation of Shatner's arrogance, I may just have to change my mind about seeing this film.

Anyone who hasn't at least thought rude things about TPM should be disqualified from writing a Bazooka Joe gum wrapper, much less for Star Wars.
