'Star Trek XI' Spy Photos
New photos from the Star Trek XI Cal State Northridge shooting site have surfaced. As reported by JoBlo.com, five new photos have appeared online depicting Academy scenes, including one that appears to include an alien. According to JoBlo reader Vince, "These are some pics from the set of Star Trek Academy. The location is California State University of Northridge and the school library is being used as a... well, school. This shows some nice costumes and art design. During filming, all the extras run over to the right side of the field, to the blue screen and point, as if something big crashes." The first picture shows cadets walking and a futuristic vehicle sits nearby. The second picture has a bluescreen in it. In the third picture, cadets are facing in the same direction. The fourth picture shows random cadets and the futuristic car with the door opened. The last photo shows several cadets walking, including an alien of some sort. To read more and see the pictures, head to the article located here.

LOL! I love how they're continuing the inside jokes of the past. Look at the structure on the right side of this pic: http://joblo.com/newsimages1/trekset2-big.jpg
"GNDN": Goes nowhere, does nothing.
LMAO!

Re: 'Star Trek XI' Spy Photos
In labeling pipes and conduits on the ship, bored graphic artists sometimes put their initials or their birthdates on them. As I recall, someone (Mike Okuda, perhaps) put GNDN (meaning "goes nowhere, does nothing") on pipes aboard the Enterprise-D.

Re: 'Star Trek XI' Spy Photos
Actually, I just turned up a refernce that says it dates back to the original series. The passageways leading to the sides in the main engineering compartment are labelled "GNDN".

Re: 'Star Trek XI' Spy Photos
Well gee, now that I've seen spy photos, I can without a doubt come to a negative conclusion about the movie's script, acting, directing, music score and everything else that no on knows anything about, and spend all my time bitching on this board!

Re: 'Star Trek XI' Spy Photos
OMG, these photos of SFA clearly are DIFFERENT FROM TOS. They clearly contradict TOS. You know, all those times we saw teenage Kirk at SFA in TOS. This contradicts all that.
If it existed.

Which job is that?
Walking around campus & sitting in class?
Unless you assume she's doing grunt work for some reason, a skirt offers the same amount of mobility as pants. Except that the skirt is no doubt more comfortable in the Califoria heat.

I wore minis in the late 60s/early 70s. We were able to do what was needed without showing off our underwear. If there was something to do that required crawling or stuff that would expose us, we would wear slacks.
My only whine about minis was reaching into my tall locker at school. Fortunately, winter coats up north back then were long, and so when I went to the locker, I left the coat on until I got my books.
