'InAlienable' Public Debut Marred By Technical Glitch

Not satisfied to present a less-than-perfect airing of his nine-year-labor of love, Walter Koenig halts first showing of InAlienable.

As reported by reporter-times.com, an overly dark picture that was not sharp might have been good enough for some, but not for Walter Koenig.

InAlienable was making its public debut at Conglomeration 2008! at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center. When Koenig saw the lack of quality of the image, he walked to the back of the room and had the screening stopped. "I'm sorry folks," he told the audience.

Prior to the aborted screening, Koenig talked about how InAlienable was his labor of love, which had been in process for almost a decade. Koenig had planned on a one-hour talk after the screening of the movie and had been looking forward to audience reaction to the film.

InAlienable, available for download at a cost of $2.99 for a 24-hour period at www.renegade-studios.com, is about a man guilt-ridden over the death of his family. He discovers that his body is host to a parasite from another world. The parasite carries his DNA. The government considers the parasite a threat to mankind. But is it a threat, or is it his new son?

I admire his integrity. The 24-hour period is bogus.

while the orignal scheduled showing didnt go on due to the problem they were able to show the film at least twice later on that weekend .
it wasnt the greatest film ever made but it is better then a lot of stuff out there and had its interesting moments.
i give walter credit for seeing some of its weakness such as the miscasting of the child actor who plays the son.

i just dont know why the report didnt mention the other screenings (if it did i missed it) and that after one at least walter talked to and took questions from the audience.
