Nimoy Nails Nose

Leonard Nimoy had a mishap while filming Star Trek XI recently, resulting in a minor injury.

As reported by The New York Observer, Nimoy fell on a set while working on Star Trek XI and sustained an injury to his nose.

His injury was discussed by a group of set designers and grips and overheard. "You know the sets are so dark and he's an old guy," said a makeup artist. Nimoy turned seventy-seven today.

A source reported that there had been talk of using a double, but Nimoy was able to go back to work. "Well, you know, with CGI, you know they can fix that nose right up, have it look normal," said a cast member.

I love how the article's "sources" are referred to by their job description and not their name. I also love the make-up artist's bone-head comment.

Also, psst article author...it was a male "crew" member, not "cast" member, that made the CGI comment.

Rick Berman is to blame for this. I just know it.

I could only go by what I had.

Yet another slow news day here at TrekNation...

In further headlines, Brent Spiner has an ingrown toenail, and Scott Bakula forgot to brush his teeth before heading out today. Film at 11.

Yeah, it was (and has been recently) a slow news day. Yet news must be posted. That's the way it goes.

Ouch! Poor Mr. Nimoy. I'm glad it wasn't bad enough that they had to use a double. I'm also feeling very guilty for laughing at the "You know the sets are so dark and he's an old guy" quote!

Well, at least they haven't resorted to posting fan film news as though it were real news.

Oh, uh... never mind.

This just in
Bruce Greenwood stubs his toe in his bathroom.

This will have major consequences on filming

Pike will now walk with a limp the entire movie forcing Bruce to not partake in a stunt

J.J is rewriting to have Shatner fill in

Re: Nimoy Nails Nose

To compensate for his injured foot, Greenwood will tap his other foot once for 'yes,' twice for 'no.'

I love how we can't get a picture of him in costume, yet this little tidbit manages to escape the sound stage.
